About the Course
Participants will be exposed to practical principles to help managers motivate and mobilize team members, vendors, and contractors toward the fulfilment of team and corporate objectives, with a strong focus on interpersonal skills.
The course, designed to help participants understand, accept, motivate, and effectively manage their “direct reports” as well as contractors and vendors where they may not have direct authority but still need to get results.
This session will explore the nature of leadership, help you to understand your own leadership strengths and challenges as well as provide you with a communication skill set that allows you to effectively manage using influence even when you don’t have authority.
Course Objectives
Even when we are not in a leadership position it can sometimes be extremely difficult to get people’s help, especially when we have no authority over them. This is where an approach and an influencing model can help us identify what we and other people value in a given influencing situation. We can then explore that information so that everyone can view and pursue a common purpose.
