About the Course

Emphasis is placed on rock, log and test data to distinguish reservoir and non-reservoir rock properties. Structural, stratigraphic, deposition and diagenetic concepts are used to locate drill sites and describe reservoirs. The input required to construct a geologic reservoir model is reviewed. Participants will be taken through the importance of modifying development plans as a field becomes more mature.

 

Course Objectives

The participants will be exposed to how fields are developed and also the characteristics that must be considered in developing a field. This will also demonstrate to the participants how hydrocarbon volumes are estimated and the drive mechanism that operate within the reservoirs.
