About the Course

This is a five day that gives a general overview of operations, and terminology used in the drilling and completion of an onshore oil or gas well. It is prepared for non-drilling personnel who work with drilling professionals. No prior experience or knowledge of drilling operations is required. The course will provide participants with a better understanding of all phases of onshore drilling operations.

• The “Well Construction” Process
• Drilling Rig – Components and Functions
• Drilling a Well – From Top to Bottom
• Lease Preparation, Cellar, Conductor, Drill Bits, Drilling Fluids, Tripping, Casing, Cementing
• Formation Evaluation (Cuttings, Logging, Coring, Drill stem Testing)
• Directional, Horizontal and Relief Wells
• Completions – Perforating, Hydraulic Fracturing, Acidizing

7. Looking forward to training date to commence your training. However, if a need to change the dates of the training arises, you will be notified immediately. This may be due to unavailability of the instructors or due to unavoidable logistic challenges.
